Content and sources

The breed profiles are based on the standards of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the LOF registration statistics published by the Société Centrale Canine (French Kennel Club) for 2025, breed clubs and veterinary sources. The ratings from 1 to 5 are an editorial summary of these sources: they show the breed’s tendency, not a guarantee about any particular dog. They do not replace the advice of a veterinarian, a breeder or a behaviorist.

The breed photos are illustrations generated by artificial intelligence. They show the typical look of each breed and do not depict real dogs.

Like Owner, Like Dog

This game uses Claude, the artificial intelligence by Anthropic, to compare a selfie with the breeds on the site. The result is meant for fun and has no scientific value. How the photo is processed is described in our privacy policy.
