How the breeds are rated
Each breed is rated from 1 to 5 on 20 criteria: energy, children, cats, apartment living, time alone, barking, training, shedding, heat… The ratings come from FCI standards, breed clubs and veterinary sources, reviewed breed by breed in October 2026, then harmonized so they can be compared. The percentage shows how well a breed matches your criteria. The breed photos are generated by artificial intelligence, all in the same studio style, so the breeds can be compared side by side. A dog is still an individual: the breed gives a tendency, not a guarantee.
